As modernism evolved into a new era, this 1971 Montclair split-level took form. Decades later, in 2015, it was taken to the studs and thoughtfully reimagined by Risa Boyer of Risa Boyer Architecture, an award-winning firm recognized by the AIA and featured in Dwell, Gray & Portland Monthly magazines, The Oregonian and others for its refined, yet pragmatic modernism. A floating solid-oak stair with steel railings reads as sculpture as the two original fireplaces nod to the home’s midcentury roots.
